Seasoned Chicken and Wild Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 package RICE-A-RONIĀ® Long Grain and Wild Rice
  • 1 pound uncooked, boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1-1/4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion (optional)

Preparation Steps

  1. In large skillet, combine rice mix, Special Seasonings, 1 1/4 cups water, 1 Tbsp. margarine and 1 lb. uncooked, boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces. Bring to a boil.
  2. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer 25-30 min. or until rice is tender and water is absorbed. Let stand 5 min. before serving.

Tips and Variations

  • Add 1/2 cup each chopped celery and onion during the last 5 min. of simmering.
