Seasoned Beef and Rice (Less Sodium)

Ingredients

  • 1 package RICE-A-RONIĀ® Lower Sodium Beef
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 2-1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup chopped tomato (optional)
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions (optional)

Preparation Steps

  1. In large skillet, cook 1 lb. ground beef or turkey until no longer pink; drain.
  2. Stir in rice-vermicelli mix, 1 Tbsp. margarine, 2 1/2 cups water and Special Seasonings; bring to a boil.
  3. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer 15-20 min. or until rice is tender.

Tips and Variations

  • Stir in 1 cup chopped tomato and 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions before serving.
